Although one of the smaller national parks, with about 310,000 acres, Grand Teton National Park is certainly
a beautiful and diverse place. Photographers can explore mountains, lakes, waterfalls, forests, cattle ranches
and homesteads. There is an abundance of wildflowers and wildlife including bison, elk, deer, bears, and coyotes.
No wonder the park has over three million visitors each year, attracting mountain climbers, skiers, hikers,
nature enthusiasts and artists. In fact, one of the most famous photographers, Ansel Adams, photographed the
park in the 1940s. One of the great features is its easy accessibility, but photographers should go beyond the
overlooks and walk the informal trails to capture better angles and additional scenes.
